Job Description Job Purpose: Is the key position to shape and maximise the entire country portfolio throughout the life cycle of the brands, and has the responsibility to achieve the sales and market share targets by driving the agreed strategy and tactical plan
- Successfully manages the assigned portfolio by developing insightful, meaningful and effective brand plans, including the timely development of the new product plans
- Is the principal responsible for product training
- Has a co-responsibility with sales and medical for the KOL management as well as input into the KOL management plan
- Has a core responsibility to organise and support large scale / national events in line with the brand plan
- Successfully presents the brand plans to Senior Management and regional and global marketing
Principle accountabilities
1. Maximise the business opportunity throughout the product life cycle
Has understanding of the Product Life Cycle and management of each stage of the cycle. Is capable to develop a deep dive analysis into the business potential of a product and develop a realistic 5 year sales projection and business plan. Has the capacity to develop and articulate an ambitious brand vision and 3 to 5 year product objectives
2. Development of professional brand plans
Is capable of developing and consolidating a situational assessment, including market understanding, patient flow, market segmentation, key market drivers and competition assessment. To translate the market situational analysis into an adequate SWOT. Develop the key sales, market share and business objectives for each business year. Develop the relevant action and budget plan to achieve the agreed upon objectives
3. Drives the implementation sales and marketing tactical plan
Has strong communication and presentation skills to ensure buy in and commitment from sales teams, medical colleagues and the broader organisation to implement the product tactical plans. Assumes the lead or provides support to the lead to produce an effective brand team. Spends sufficient time in the field – 1 or 2 days per week (depending on need) to follow up on the implementation of the tactical plans and to gather new insights and feedback for future brand plans. Provides relevant feedback to sales, medical and the broader organisation. Has an efficient tracking system in place to ensure close monitoring of status of consumption of the available budget and makes periodical assessment to check status and progress. For all activities ensures Takeda Code of Conduct compliance
4. KOL management
Has co-responsibility with medical and sales for KOL management and planning. Is able to identify and list the national KOLs. Demonstrates strong capability in influencing KOL’s and building strong relationships based on trust and respect. Ensures this is done within the Takeda Code of Conduct and compliance requirements
Skills & knowledge Educational qualifications - Holds a medical, pharmacy or paramedical degree
- Additional Business degree highly preferred but not mandatory
- Fluent in English
Relevant Experience & knowledge
- Has had successful experience in product management within Oncology environment
- Minimum 2 years of pharma marketing experience within Oncology therapeutic area (Preferred)
- Regional experience in Gulf/Levant countries
- Has strong marketing and strategic skills with deep understanding of therapeutic area and proficiency in Key Account Management principles
- Previous experience in Specialty/Oncology sales for at least 1 year

- Crucial that the candidate understands the business model where brand will operate including working with a KAM model

- Business acumen and entrepreneurship to develop a commercially robust plan that exceeds customer expectations
- Innovative, develops new ways of working and uses these to differentiate from competition
