…What will you contribute?
Responsible for managing all aspects of large scale strategic initiatives or a program of related projects, including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality, and cost. Lead diverse project teams in the successful delivery of all assigned initiatives. Assures development of appropriate control plans across the program to promote and/or monitor adoption of the solution and realization of program benefits. Work with Project/Program Sponsor to develop the scope and business case of the project including; identifying stakeholder requirements, estimating work effort and for budget, forecasting resources, assessing and mitigating risk, analysing benefits and institutionalizing change.
Responsibilities & Deliverables: - Reviews program/project work and/or products/deliverables to assure results align with the methodology/ support the program/project objectives.
- Develops, baselines, tracks and manages program and project scope, schedule and budget.
- Defines the goals and objectives of the program/project and individual team member’s roles and responsibilities for the duration of the program/project.
- Identifies program level changes and the potential impacts to all related projects and initiatives, determines the recommended solution and facilitates the process of obtaining the Change Control Board’s approval or rejection.
- Ensures the quality of the overall program through constant monitoring, control and auditing of the various initiatives following proven PMI processes and procedures.
- Works with program/project quality assurance to ensure a quality implementation of program/project deliverables (technology, training, documentation, etc.) and that the new solution is adopted.
- Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing a program/project budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Continually identifies, qualifies, and tracks risks, defining mitigation and contingency plans, assigning appropriate resources, and constantly communicating status.
- Identifies resource requirements and properly communicates those requirements in a timely manner to ensure the program and associated projects are properly staffed with the skilled resources required.
- Serves as the primary interface with stakeholders and the Executive Sponsor to ensure objectives and customer-focused requirements are defined and aligned with company directions.
Required Experience: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint and Microsoft Project or similar tool.
- Expert at managing large complex highly integrated projects/programs within a technical environment.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver Program/Project updates and presentations to C-Level Executives.
- Knowledge of software implementations and/or multiple software development methodologies and the software development life cycle.
- Knowledge of audit and/or regulatory requirements for the various government, technology, and financial industries a plus (PCI, SOX, etc.), and ability to audit projects to ensure standards are being followed.
EXPERIENCE - 10+ years’ experience in Program/Project Management leading technical and non-technical resources or similar experience.
- 2+ years management responsibility including managing a team of project management professionals.
- Extensive experience at defining, implementing and continually improving standards processes and procedures utilizing industry best practice (PMI, CMMI, etc.)
- Experience delivering complex software conversion projects including software integration, interface development, software and hardware configuration and training. Experience with risk management including assisting project management teams with identification of risks and issues and creating and managing mitigation and contingency plans for those items.
- Extensive experience developing, tracking and managing project/program budgets based on the development of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and a 3-point estimation process.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree - Business or Technology or equivalent experience.
- PMP Certification required or actively working towards certification.
- Six Sigma Certification and SCRUM Master Certification are a plus.
- Travel up to 30% may be required.
