Job Overview: Responsible for developing and maintaining an optimal demand & supply chain process to ensure an accurate demand forecast is utilized in accordance with the business needs. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and responsible for leading a customer service team, the demand & supply chain planner will be an integral part of the distribution chain.
Role and Responsibilities oPreparation and monthly calculation of demand requirements
oMonthly review meetings with marketing and commercial managers (discuss forecasts, procurement, IVQ)
oItem material management & product lifecycle management
oMonthly assessment of demand forecasts with the team
oCo-ordination of S & OP meetings quarterly.
oCommunicate monthly supply outlook and details of supply with stakeholders
oCo-ordinate with commercial, marketing, RA, DPOC and CSD to highlight problems and decide action plan
oMonitor issues concerning supply with CSD and 3PL
oRespond to ad hoc issues related to procurement and inventory
oFollow up with manufacturing sites on all orders
oUpdate of all procurement – inventory and non-inventory in SAP
oCollaborate with staff, other departments, senior management, and decision makers to share information, problem solve, and to clarify management objectives
- Product Life Cycle Management
oMaintenance and monitoring of new product introductions with RA, marketing & commercial managers
oIdentify potential projects to deliver changes and improvements to the supply chain and commission select projects
oPurchases and payables maintenance
oPost sales invoices/credit notes/rebates/price changes
oReport monthly sales performance
oMonitor inbound and outbound shipments to and from 3PL
oMonthly reconciliation of stock
oInventory correction in SAP on product releases and expired products at 3PL
oAnnual physical inventory of stocks at 3PL
oObtain information on the current legislation and regulations that apply to supply chain operations
oQuarterly analysis and reporting of IVQ stocks
oObtain GoA approval for destruction of expired goods
oCommunicate to commercial and marketing teams of slow moving items
oRequesting the blocking of slow moving/obsolete stocks
oIdentify Demand Trend Analysis and compare vs Budget
oReview and upload of 24 month rolling demand forecast
oIdentifying trends/seasonality
oDevelop and implement new systems, best practices, inventory control, demand planning, and other optimizations in order to grow the business
- Trade Compliance and Auditing
oDirect and manage corporate governance and regulatory compliance
oIdentify and manage risk within the supply chain
oAddress tactical and strategic supply chain issues
oRespond to and gather information with regard to audit issues
oCo-ordinate with the Finance department with regard to new transfer prices
oMaintain transfer pricing system
