We have a great opportunity for a Sr. Process Engineer / Engineering Supervisor at our Fort Wayne, Indiana location.
The Sr. Process Engineer / Engineering Supervisor is responsible for the analysis of methods, processes, tools and systems required for the company's manufacturing and fabrication activities. Defines and develops the most efficient manufacturing process methods, parameters, and procedures. Leads other Process Engineers in the daily support of production and also through short to medium term projects.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Performs complex research and analysis tasks to determine best process design approach.
- Involved in the design and selection of the most appropriate and cost-effective manufacturing engineering tools, machines, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
- Investigates manufacturing costs and suggests manufacturing process adjustments and improvements.
- Determines equipment requirements to ensure equipment is compatible with process.
- Selects new manufacturing processes and may introduce new equipment to existing process.
- Provides technical assistance to manufacturing to support current production and implement new technology.
- Follows existing documentation practices and continuously looks for improvements.
- Operates under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Must have ability to work in a team environment with other departments such as Production and Materials Management.
- Ability to analyze situations and determine logical and reasonable solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal with team members and all levels of the organization.
- Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven project and time management skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel, Power Point.

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Equipment Used This position is located in a manufacturing facility which requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, squatting, twisting, and bending. This position requires approximately 50% of time spent on the production floor and 50% in a general office environment. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs.
