Job Purpose & Scope Evaluates newly constructed and equipment atyards; reviews and upgrades contractdocuments, P & ID drawings as required and control strategies forconfiguration management and conformance to various design and materialsstandards.
Principal Accountabilities a) On Instruction ensure availability ofmaterials and follow-up to ensure satisfactory completion. Participate in thediagnosis of faults. Under Supervision Inspect and test completed work toensure that it has been carried out in accordance with requirements and thatequipment performs satisfactorily, prior to handing back to operating section.
b) For the forthcoming new projects beingimplemented, monitor construction & commissioning activities, within hisPerforming Authority, and ensure that these activities are carried out inaccordance with the guidelines of his Senior Technician / Control Supervisor
c) At the yard, Inspects equipment,structures or materials to identify the cause of complex errors, problems ordefects and report to his supervisor
d) On instruction from Supervisor Analyze the newly constructed, installedequipment at the yard before shifting to the Islands compare it with the P& ID, recommend modifications toimprove the reliability and availability of the equipment
e) Assist in projects execution ForForthcoming new projects being implemented, monitor construction &commissioning activities, As applicable with in other trades, and ensure thatthese activities are carried out in accordance with the work permits issued.
f) Underthe guidance of the Senior Mechanical Technician, participate in the work asnecessary in the diagnosis of faults of a more complex nature
g) Ensure a high level of HSE performanceby ensuring work standards, procedures and HSE programs are followed and givena high level of priority.
h) Performs other duties as assigned suchas taking part in training / developing new recruits/ UAE National employees/develops.
i) Correctlyidentify all parts, materials and supplies for the 2 years spare of all Mechanicalrelated equipment at the Islands and maintain system database accordingly
j) Ability to establish and maintain effective workingrelationships with senior technicians / supervisors, and co-workers.
k) Participate in the 30%, 60% and 90% 3Dmodeling and ensure the facilities are in safe as per standards
Qualification & Experience · Completionof secondary technical education (12 years), plus direct vocational training(6-12 months)
· 3 to 4years experience in instrumentation maintenance repair and calibration on modeminstrumentation (electronic and pneumatic); oil industry experience inappreciated.
· Goodcommand of English language, written and spoken.
