Role calls for a senior level position where the incumbent will be accountable to evaluate the Company's tenders make recommendations and update specifications as and when required.
Job Description Key Responsibilities: Operational
- PPR: Provides support in preparation of schedule for implementing the recommendations as per the PPR.
- Design NOC: Responsible for applying for NOCs and ensure they are obtained as per the scheduled timelines.
- Tender Document: Prepare tender documents as per the Company’s standards and specifications. Also responsible for preparing the shop drawings for new projects. Coordinates with other W&C departments for preparing tender documents.
- Quantity Surveying: Extract quantities as per actual site conditions proposed for tenders.
- Floating Tender: Obtain approvals; design NOCs from various stakeholders for floating the tender. Forward tender document to contracts department for publishing the tender.
- Pre-Tender Clarifications: Coordinate with stakeholders for preparation of responses for various clarifications of bidders.
- Site Visit: Facilitate site visits by bidders for proposed location of projects.
- Tender Evaluation: Responsible for evaluating the bids received in coordination with various stakeholders. Carry out inspections and visits (local & oversees), capability studies if required. Provide recommendations for awarding the project.
- Variation Orders: Prepares variation orders based on the requirement raised due to actual site conditions. Coordinates with stakeholders for feasibility of executing the work. Oversees the process of awarding the work to the contractors.
- Confidentiality: Ensures non-disclosure of confidential information to anyone within or outside the Authority, during or after employment in the Company.
- Safety: Follows and adheres to the OH&S Management System Manual as per the Company’s safety standards.
Financial
- Budget: Assists in preparation of estimates for the PPR recommendations. Transfers budgets to other departments after approval through system.
Qualification and Experience Required: - Expatriates – Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering with minimum 6 years of experience.
OR
Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering with minimum 8 years of experience.
- UAE Nationals - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering with minimum 3 years of experience.
OR
Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering with minimum 4 years of experience.
