§ Performs
radiological imaging examinations as requested, guiding the patients through the
entire radiological examination process in accordance with standard
radiographic practice, DDC policy and external regulations.
§ Supports in running
daily operations related to diagnostic imaging services at DDC and efficiently
operates necessary radiology tools/technologies/equipment for completion of the
full range of radiological examinations.
§ Adheres to
internal/external regulations, policies, procedures, quality standards and
health and safety protocols to be compliant with guidelines laid down by Centre
for Health Planning and Quality (CPQ), Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation
(FANR), Ministry of Health, Occupational Safety and Occupational Safety and
Health Administration (OSHA) etc.
§ Assists in the
provision and maintenance of an optimal environment protecting patients and
staff from dangers of radiation exposure, chemical fumes, accidental fire and
other hazards.
§ Enters patient data
into Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and completes transfer of images to
the Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) in an accurate and
timely manner.
§ Monitors
technological equipment throughout its life cycle and escalates issues with
machinery/tools in a timely manner for effective resolution.
§ Assists in the completion
of clerical/administrative tasks associated with the medical imaging of
patients, such as processing of request forms, patient scheduling, recording of
examinations, handling of enquires and preparing radiographs for reporting.
§ Helps to manage the
inventory requesting purchases of supplies.
§ Assists in
maintaining internal records of hospital policies/procedures, radiology
protocols, safety precautions and equipment manuals and ensures these are
updated to be in line with any external/internal compliance and regulatory
guidelines.
