Ongoing opening for permanent and contract roles
Tigerspike Dubai is looking for a UX Specialist (Mid and Senior) with the ability to dive into solving complex business challenges for our clients and creating innovative, effective solutions. We're currently looking for Mid-level User Experience Specialists with a goal-oriented vision, data-driven focus and strong capabilities in design and production of engaging experiences.
Every member of our design team sits somewhere in the spectrum of experience design, acting as an expert in their specialty, but also contributing to every part of the process. We are working across a wide variety of clients to include Travel, Aviation, Retail, Media, Healthcare and Financial Services.
If you are passionate about design, enjoy telling a story to solve business needs and a champion for helping shape and define great digital products, then Tigerspike could be the place for you!
Role & Responsibilities: UX Specialists at Tigerspike are responsible for capturing, inspiring and understanding requirements (both business stakeholders and users) and propose optimal solutions to exceed customers', and in turn clients' expectations.
They are user champions who strive to collaborate, influence and challenge with the consumer central in their thoughts whilst understanding design and technical considerations.
Candidates must approach problem-solving in creative ways. They should have a sense of ownership over the work-at-hand, an agile 'get-things-done' mindset and an aptitude for teamwork and open communication.
Ideal candidates can say:
- I have 3 to 5 years UX experience for Mids, 4 to 7 years for Seniors
- I collaborate with Senior and Lead team-mates to visualise the overall customer experience and define how solutions can be orchestrated across devices to maximum effect.
- I'm concerned with how a product feels. I can ensure that a user logically flows from one step to the next.
- I clearly communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and design decisions to my team and stakeholders.
- I can identify a specific problem, think it through and explore many different approaches to solving it in a short space of time.
- I share my insights and recommendations in a persuasive and interesting manner.
- I strive to collaborate, influence and challenge, with the customer experience central in my thoughts, whilst understanding business, design and technical considerations.
- I can think through a customer base; analyse areas of their behaviours or motivations, separating my assumptions from those which are factual.
- I can create test plans for quantitative and/or qualitative research to adopt a particular direction.
- I can rapidly design something - using paper, low, mid and high prototyping methods - share it around, and then iterate based on learnings.
- I have an eye for detail. I run quality assurance on the work I produce so as not to impact others in my team. I also support others to maintain our collective quality standards.
- As a Senior I'm able to mentor and guide Mid and Associate level colleagues

About Dubai
Have you ever seen a documentary or TV show about Dubai? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to actually live there?
A simple Google search can give you loads of ideas of all the things you can do there, but instead of copy pasting those, let me share with you what living in Dubai is like from the perspective of an expat who has found home in this city for many years now.
Its safe! Think of all the wonderful but dangerous metropolitans around the world and remove the dangerous part. That will be Dubai. People still leave their houses with their door open. That's how safe it is!
Its fun! Oh yeah, you just need to be around the right people to take you to all the great places - beach parties, parks for picnic on a weekend morning, clubs and bars, little areas called villages with concerts, tennis championships, exhibitions.
Its holiday around the year! You don't need to hop a plane to travel to somewhere exotic. You just need to drive an hour or two to one of the neighbouring emirates, check into one of their resorts, go for a full day waterpark fun and enjoy.
Its winter in the desert! Yep, in the desert, inside a mall there's a massive ski slope, little penguins to hug, hot chocolate to slurp and experience the cold season if you've had enough of the sun and beaches.
Its cultural! Expos, food and music festivals, museums, concerts all around the year. Both Dubai and its neighbour Abu Dhabi are well known to be the hosts of concerts given by the most famous artist in the music industry.
Its sports! Tennis, marathon, football, you name it.
Its posh! You want a membership at some fancy fitness club? We have them. You want the comfort of your fitness club inside the office building? We have that too. You don't even want to leave your home building for some spa, fun time in the swimming pool and some work out? Yes, you can have that too. The vast majority of residential buildings in Dubai have steam room, pool and gym, and many terraces, restaurants, shops or bars around them.
And last but not least, SUN for the whole year!
Dubai may not be your final destination, but if you get an opportunity to live and work there for a few years, grab it! Its worth it.
