The CSSD Technician is committed to deliver excellent, high quality services in the patient focused environment though effective and committed teamwork.
The CSSD Technician follows the HAAD policies and guidelines relevant to his/her practice.
Qualifications: Completion of a formal program recognized by HAAD or Diploma in Sterilization Technology.
Holds a current licensure as a CSSD Technician in the country of origin.
Professional experience: at least 3 year of recent CSSD Technician in UAE.
Demonstrates competence in all aspect of the CSS Department.
Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communications skills.
Is able to work either individual or team.
Willing to participate in job training and /or specific training as required.
Decontaminates, assembles, processes, sterilizes, maintains and distributes surgical instruments and supplies
Stock and equipment are managed and controlled according to clinic policy
Identifies and prevents medico-legal risks with regards to the CSSD procedures
Follow appropriate cost containment practices
Departmental standards for quality and productivity are maintained
Relevant CSSD reports and statistics are compiled and submitted according to requirements
Participates in Continuous Professional Development.
Skills Working knowledge of microbiology, infection control principles, sterilization practices and inventory management
Basic knowledge of computer applications
Fluency in written and spoken English
High level of interpersonal and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
