Job Description Mediclinic Middle East is looking to fill an Anaesthesia Technician role for Mediclinic City Hospital. Mediclinic City Hospital was the first multi-disciplinary hospital in Dubai Healthcare City. With 280 beds, Mediclinic City Hospital can accommodate patients with a wide range of individual health requirements.
Requirements •Locally based candidates with 2-5 years experience in Anaesthesia will be given preference, but we are happy to consider candidates from overseas, who have the desired experience and qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelor Degree in Anaesthesia Technology OR Completion of Anaesthesia Technician Program with minimum 2 years duration from a recognized institution/college
- Minimum of two (2) years experience post qualification in related field
- Proof of valid registration as a Technician from home country and/or country of last employment where applicable
- Accreditation experience will be highly noted
- Fluent in English and knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge relating to the anaesthesia procedures in order to effectively anticipate the needs of the anaesthesiologist
- Communicate with patients while helping prepare them for anesthesia to explain procedures, allay fears and elicit patient cooperation
- Physical abilities to complete job duties which include lifting, standing, walking, ability to push, pull, climb, stoop, kneel, reach overhead and rotate trunk for prolonged periods
- Can function effectively under pressure

Key Outputs Perform a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist attending anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists in performing anesthetic procedures for patients ranging from infancy to geriatrics
- Obtain supplies and equipment as requested by anaesthesia providers
- Prepare anaesthetizing locations for indicated procedure to include setting up and calibrating monitoring devices; troubleshoot anesthesia equipment malfunctions, routing non-functional equipment to the proper department for repair
- Caring for and educating patients about their conditions, as well as establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families
- Guidelines of International Patient Safety Goals and evidence based practice are adhered
- Adapt and maintain a customer-focused mindset that acknowledges the importance and value of the customer, and acts accordingly
- Mutually beneficial relationships are built and maintained with colleagues and multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure patient records meet legal requirements and Mediclinic standards
