Job Description Medical Manager

Position Summary Medical Manager (MM) is field-based to cover countries across the Middle East, with a focus on KSA and report to the Country Medical Director. MM is scientifically trained professionals with strong clinical backgrounds, who must have excellent communication skills. Responsible for liaison with leaders and healthcare professionals in academic and clinical centres for scientific exchange and data generation to ensure our Cell Therapies are used appropriately.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Represent the company and Medical Affairs during exchanges with the medical/scientific community
- Develop Significant Scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other experts.
- Provide Medical Teams with feedback and insights from interactions and discussions with HCPs.
- Facilitate and support the validation and set-up of identified sites
- Manages complex scientific projects based on our strategy and plan of Action (POA)
- Plans and leads national Medical Affairs activities based on our strategy and POA.
Scientific Exchange: * Exchange complex clinical and scientific information with the haematology community
- Maintain clinical , scientific , and technical expertise in Oncology
- Respond to and document unsolicited requests for scientific information
- Provide clinical input and training to internal functions as requested.
- Gather Therapy Area Experts’ (TAEs) feedback and insights
- Conference coverage (national and international) including staffing exhibits, reporting on scientific sessions, and facilitating meetings with TAEs.
Develop significant scientific relationships with TAEs and other disease experts. Establish and maintain ongoing long-term collaborative relationships with health-care professionals (including physicians and nurses) within their assigned territory. * Provide clinical/scientific presentations to internal and external groups.
Clinical/scientific Site Support:
- Provide accrual enhancement activities at trial sites or referral centres- support clinical trial sites
- Identify potential investigators and sites
- Investigator sponsored research and registry support
- Provide support for content development and delivery of Advisory Boards.
- Work closely with other field based employees and headquarters based staff to rapidly respond to questions, issues, etc. from sites in the territory
- Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in oncology
- Works collaboratively with Gilead personnel in EMEAC/Gilead Medical Affairs ,Clinical Research,Marketing , Market Access, Sales, HEOR, Regulatory Affairs, Govermanet/Public Affairs, and Drug Safety
- Operate in compliance with all laws, regulations and policies, including those related to clinical trials, scientific interactions with internal and external groups, and responses to unsolicited requests for medical/scientific information.
Key Requirements: * Medical Doctor is preferred, PharmD, PhD, Academic Hospital Nurses, Advanced degreed RNs (e.g. RCN, ONS-certified) or equivalent. Relevant clinical experience highly preferred
- Significant years’ clinical oncology experience. Expertise in CAR-T , B cell malignancies , immunology and BMT preferred
- Relationships with institutions and/or hospitals in territory
- Understanding of hospital haematology/oncology departments
- Previous pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but not mandatory
- Excellent problem solving skills, personal initiative and collaborative working
- Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance required
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills including excellent verbal and written communication
- Computer proficiency in Zinc, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe®
- Ability to travel frequently (50-70%), including overnight stays when needed
