ROLE PURPOSE & CONTEXT:
The Finance consultant position works as part of the project team, to manage and complete the FICO configuration and associated development activities in the implementation. It provides a dedicated and professional solution knowledge base, together with deployment and domain expertise. Position requires close collaboration with internal business units and IT staff, banks, third party external vendors, contractors, and other areas of the business to analyze requirements and establish deliverables, dates, and scope.
PERSON SPECIFIC:
Education: College or University degree in Accounting (CA/ICWA/Information Technology or a related discipline)
Minimum Experience and Knowledge:
· Minimum of (7) years of experience in the design, configuration, testing, migration, debugging, delivery and support of SAP FICO processes, and 3 full SAP project life cycles of significant size, scope and complexity
· Expertise in the Finance implementation projects (such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset accounting, Profit center planning data, associated master data objects and configuration tasks).
· Experience with and understanding of criticalities in the 3rd party interface designs and associated activities.
· Knowledge of using SAP Solution Manager for managing projects and change management
Job-Specific/Technical Skills required to complete the tasks:
· The candidate should have expert functional and configuration knowledge in all areas of SAP FI/CO, Withholding tax, VAT and 3rd party interfaces.
· In-depth working knowledge in FICO implementations, interface designs, build ALE/IDOC configuration and interfaces, rollouts, upgrades and distributed architecture environment
· Understand dependency between FI and CO and Integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, HR, BPC and BI) and external applications.
· Strong business process knowledge stretching beyond SAP functionality in the areas of Retail and Healthcare Industries.
· Understands delivery within a context of possible constraints (e.g., cost, schedule) and able to operate effectively within those constraints.
· Proficient in design, deliver and manage the customized ABAP solutions and interfaces with 3rd party systems.
· Manage the activities of data extractions, explaining the conversion process, defining data requirements, and working with the business team to correct data in their legacy systems and prepare for the data conversion cycle.
· Ability to work with data migration tools LSMW, eCAAT, Customized programs, Microsoft Excel and an appetite for learning more
· Document the business requirements, Provide inputs to effort estimation, Produce templates for capturing requirements, data migration and apply version control
· Document blueprint, test scripts, configuration guides, training manuals, authorization matrix document and UAT test scripts, Perform Unit testing and System integration testing and support UAT.
· Provide inputs to cutover plans, Execute assigned cutover tasks, Provide inputs to support transition and Perform knowledge transfer
