My client, a prominent and very well established hospital group based in Abu Dhabi, are currently looking to appoint an exceptional Chief Medical Officer.

Experience:

• Valid medical license issued from a reputable Western Medical Institute
• Proven 5 -6 years’ relevant hospital administration leadership experience in a large hospital ideally in a rehabilitation setting
• Preferred experience in local private healthcare setting.
• Ideally hold a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field

The ideal candidate will:

• Have the primary responsibility of managing the organisations’ doctors in order to provide safe, effective medical services to the public.
• Act as a liaison and take up the role of advocate between doctors, department heads and other clinical staff
• Be responsible to provide strategic and operational leadership to clinical staff
• Evaluate standards and quality of all clinical services and demonstrate the innate ability to oversee all these clinical operations
• Supervise medical staff and medical directors where appropriate or delegate accordingly
• Ensure all patients receive the highest quality treatment possible by hiring and evaluating exceptional physicians.
• Oversee the credentialing and privileges of all physicians and all other applicable staff.
• Keenly participate in strategic planning and provide performance guidance to the medical staff
• Be responsible for developing personnel effectively
• Focus to implement cost-effective, efficient, safe medical practices.
• Cooperate with the rest of the executive team to initiate procedures, regulations and programs to benefit patients and support the organisation fiscally
• Oversee CME activities
• Create and enforce all clinical guidelines in order to ensure that all processes run smoothly.
• Ensure that the objectives of each department are achievable and in line with the quality, clinical, financial and operational standards
• Ensure that all relevant clinical objectives are effectively and efficiently
• Create benchmarks for key performance indicators
• Analyse and monitor the overall performance of medical personnel and communicate the findings and recommendations to the appropriate teams or persons.
• Oversee and implement clinical initiatives that initiate positive changes for all personnel, patients and their families.
• Maintain active interaction with all heads of departments to review all evaluations that reflects on patient care and patient satisfaction
• Demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness
• Demonstrate the ability to make decisions swiftly with or without council.
• Have a prodigious history pertaining to proven professional accomplishments.
• Serve as an example to peers and colleagues alike
• Represent him/herself as an ambassador of the organization’s philosophy, culture and goals
• Promote strong teamwork and an respectful environment
• Initiate the pursuit of internationally recognized healthcare standards.
