The Organization:
Our client is a rehabilitation and long-term care provider, with facilities in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Al Ain. They provide multidisciplinary and intensive rehabilitation for individuals suffering from neurological problems in subacute, post-acute and long-term care settings. They are hiring an experienced candidate for a combined role of Consultant Neurology and Medical Director, overseeing both locations in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
Duties & Responsibilities: This role will consist of 2 main work fields: 50% carrying out clinical work as Consultant Neurology, 50% managing all physicians working in UAE as Medical Director. The role is based in Abu Dhabi, but responsibilities are in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
Consultant Neurology:
- diagnose complex neurological problems;
- run outpatient clinics, mainly see patients with a chronic condition;
- complete ward rounds looking after a caseload of inpatients;
- offer specialist expertise to other doctors and staff from a range of medical specialties;
Medical Director:
- manage physicians, nurses, caregivers and other medical staff;
- responsible for the training, continuing education and promotion of medical staff;
- with senior management, examine and coordinate various activities to guarantee the medical quality of the facility;
Skills Skills & Competencies: - Exceptional communication skills for appropriate and effective interaction with patients, families, all medical staff including physicians and senior management;
- Strong professional and ambitious personality;
- Clinical skills that include the ability to recognize and manage the disturbances associated with severe neurology illness and to diagnose and treat the conditions;
- Excellent leadership skills to lead the team of physicians and other medical staff;
Education & Qualifications:
- MBBS or equivalent qualification AND completion of speciality qualification in Neurology;
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience post-graduation;
- Proven leadership experience and ambitious career perspective;
- HAAD license or eligibility letter is mandatory;
