WTS Energy is seeking to hire Lead Electrical and Instrument Technician for one of its client who is a reputed refinery company in Dubai

Job Purpose Decide preventive and corrective maintenance intervention taking into account business need of uninterrupted gas supply to customer as well as HSE and budget constraints.
Plan, coordinate, perform the day to day maintenance and repair of instrumentation and electrical systems at Margham plant, GCS, LNG, and surrounding offsite pipelines.
Supervise the activities of company employees and contracted technicians
Key Result Areas (Key Accountabilities)
1. Supervise the activities of assigned personnel on his assigned asset
2. Receive and review incoming work requests, and transform it into maintenance requirements such as man-hours, skill-levels, materials, and tools and equipment needed, criticality.
3. Perform technical planning, coordination, scheduling, and safe hands-on implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance activities including urgent repairs to ensure uninterrupted gas delivery associated with:
a. Field Instrumentation devices, pressure, temperature, flow, analysis, and position.
b. Actuated and automatic valves.
c. Fire, Gas, and security detection equipment.
d. Controls, controllers, and control room monitoring, alarm, and control devices.
e. Large rotating equipment (Turbo Expander – Compressor) with integrated monitoring and control systems including magnetic bearing technology”
f. Electrical power systems including generators, 3.3 kV and 400 volt switchgear, UPS and batteries, air compressors and driers, HVAC supplies and controls, and area lighting.
g. Maintenance of LNG ESD Valve, inspection of HP Arms insulation joints, hydraulic control systems, and mooring system load cells. The job should liaise with third party equipment vendors.
h. Maintenance of LNG gas arms as per SIGGTO guidelines, maritime mooring systems and transfer systems, including hydraulic control systems , load cells, fixed crane, gangway.
i. The job should liaise with third party equipment vendors.
4. Ensures planned preventive maintenance procedures are in place, fit for service, and implemented.
5. Monitor, Coordinate or supervise contractor activities and provides project support for testing, inspection, and commissioning of projects
6. Participate in or carry out troubleshooting of complex and routine faults as required: assist with the analysis, diagnosis and solution of problems relating to E&I equipment and systems in a logical and effective manner. Such diagnostics may be performed in cooperation with the System engineer.
7. Provides information to the Maintenance E&I Supervisor for daily and weekly report updates.
8. Assist E&I supervisor with implementation of performance improvement measures.
HSE aspects:
1. Contribute to DUSUP HSE performance by ensuring applicable HSE standards are known, understood, and followed. Ensure HSE requirements are identified and planned into work packs. Participate in Safety Training Observation Program
2. Identify maintenance activities that require a risk assessment and participate in risk assessment meetings. Ensure jobs are scoped, planned, and have a job safety analysis are written for each job with hazards identified and mitigated.
3. Participate in the Emergency Response team and may lead the team in Supervisors absence in the role of emergency control chief or department emergency control team leader.
Educational Qualifications: - University degree or equivalent certificate in an instrumentation/electronic discipline.
Experience Profile:
- Five years performing maintenance in an operating oil or gas facility:
Relevant experience working with gas compressors, air compressors, field instruments, control valves, control equipment, vibration monitoring equipment, generators and UPS and small power distribution.
Relevant experience with fault finding, disassembly, overhaul and repair, reassembly and testing of valve actuators.
Relevant experience in performing failure and root cause analysis and incident investigation.
- Practical and on the job electrical experience.
- Relevant experience with computerized maintenance management system, ideally Oracle.

- Ability to communicate effectively in English, in writing and verbally in a cross-cultural environment.
- Ability to integrate into other teams, to get along, to influence and be influenced by others.
- Self-motivated, able to prioritize and capable of making decisions under stress based on best available information while managing risk.
- Driving license, home country and ability to obtain a UAE driving license.
- Functional in use of Microsoft Office tools.
