Job Summary The Transportation Movement Supervisor oversees\conducts operations of the Departure\Arrival Airfield Control Group (D\AACG) functions located on Fort Campbell Army Airfield (CAAF). Establishes communications with units and functional areas with the D\AACG. Directs flow of vehicles to the separate areas of movement of the D\AACG. Ensures all movements at the airfield are moved in a time sensitive manner.
Principal Accountabilities - Forecasts workload and manpower to ensure quality service is provided to the customer.
- Ensures adherence to applicable regulations.
- Sets priorities and daily assignments for the D\AACG.
- Responsible for ensuring discrepancies are resolved.
- Responsible for overseeing timeliness of all movement operations.
- Accepts Chalks from deploying units.
- Establishes traffic flow pattern.
- Communicates with unit and AMC.
- Inspects\ensures equipment met TALCE standards.
- Gathers statistical data.
- Oversees the loading and off loading of personnel, cargo and baggage.
- Directs personnel in securing cargo on aircraft.
- Verifies that briefings on hazardous materials in baggage and carry-on bags are accomplished.
- Ensures staff is trained and familiar with all Airfield Safety Procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring facility is clean.
- Maybe required to assist Push-Pull Team in loading onto K-loaders and escorting loads to\from aircraft.
- Must work independently.
- Keep manager apprised of progress and unusual complications.
- May provide functional direction to assistants on assigned work.
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills - Microsoft windows knowledge, proficient in Excel, MSN, PowerPoint, Word
- Must possess excellent oral, writing and customer service skills.
- Advanced working knowledge of Airfield procedures.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations such as FORSCOM Reg.55-1, Unit Movement Planning and other applicable regulations, publications and current SOP for section and CAAF.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a timely, efficient and effective manner
- Position requires the ability to supervise a team.
- Customer service ability to deal with 100 plus customer per day.
- Knowledgeable of military ranks and Public relations skills.
Experience & Education - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of Field 88 MOS Transportation course or 88N Transportation Management Coordinator or related civilian discipline.
- Familiarity with Joint Federal Travel Reg., AR 55-46, FORCOM Reg.55-1, DOD 4500.9.R, 49CFR, Airfield safety procedures.
- Familiarity with 10K, K-Loader 25k, Belt Loader, 4k & 6k Forklift equipment.
- A security clearance is required.
- CDL Class A w/Passenger Endorsement.
- Knowledgeable of Cargo Pallets 463L, ISU-90S, ISU-60
- Minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Position may require occasional lifting of 10-30 lbs.
- Position may require wearing safety gear such as hearing protection devices, head protection, steel toe boots and other safety gear as required.
Travel
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
