Position Purpose: Job Description Details:
Monitors and maintains all daily operational activities to assure all functions of Patient Access are performed in the most efficient and effective manner. Maintains all staff schedules and vacation requests and provides adequate staffing in all areas of the Patient Access department in a timely and efficient manner. Assures quality departmental performance to guarantee the flow of accurate medical, financial (revenue cycle) and demographic information throughout the facility. Assists Manager with hiring and orientation of new staff and coordination of training with Supervisor of Education. Completes and responds to requests from other departments daily to ensure accurate and prompt billing. Maintains all supplies and tools that staff need to perform their daily tasks. Responds to patient and employee complaints effectively and assures superior customer service.
