Job / Role Purpose
The Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of KPMG LG system's databases. The DBA provides technical expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of database management systems that support KPMG LG's client service team's internal and internet facing applications. Additional responsibilities include reporting, data input and output, technology management, end-user support of Oracle E-business Suit R12, Qlickview / QlikSense / Power BI Business intelligence system, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, HRMS and other Global Applications.
Major duties and responsibilities What are the main activities and responsibilities for the role?
Designs and documents database architecture.
Builds database scheme, tables, procedures and permissions.
Creates, tests, executes scripts and patches/patchsets.
Develops database utilities and automated reporting.
Analyzes and sustains capacity and performance requirements.
Monitors systems and platforms for availability.
Performs database backups and restorations, and recovers corrupted databases.
Performs maintenance operations daily, weekly and monthly on Oracle and SQL servers and databases, and information systems for the purpose of ensuring efficient program operations.
Evaluates and recommends new database technologies.
Implements and maintains database security and encryption.
Prepares written materials for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.

This role has to perform the activities independently with ownership and updating the progress of activities to Applications Manager, CIO/Head of IT on a periodic basis, performing self-assessment.

Do not include tasks and activities of the role
1. 99% uptime of KPMG LG databases and applications,
2. 100% compliance KPMG Global IT Security Standards and Policies
3. Provide timely completion of Project tasks assigned and report back to Project Managers.
4. Participate in DR tests and technical recoveries and timely completion of activities.
5. Documentations required for DR and GCR are up to date.
6. Identify improvements propose new ideas or technologies to CIO/Head of IT explaining cost benefit, ROI.

Knowledge / Technical Skills Knowledge / Technical Skills required (including the level) for the role
Certified Oracle Enterprise Database Admin and E-business Suit R12 Application DBA
Certified in Microsoft SQL Server 2008+ and later; MCSE is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop OS and Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on database and spreadsheet applications.
Intermediate knowledge in hardware and networking.
Education / Work experience

Experience in Oracle Enterprise Database Admin and E-business Suit R12 Application DBA
Experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2008+ and later
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop OS and Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on database and spreadsheet applications.
Intermediate knowledge in hardware and networking.
Experience managing databases. Proficiency in database administration, management, data imports, exports, interfaces, conversions, migrations and developing reports.
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to adapt to varied roles and job responsibilities and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability using a life cycle management process for implementation of changes in technology.
Demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as a team member in a lively, collaborative environment.

This role is part of taking care of the Risk Management activities of IT.
Ensure policies and procedures for Information Security are effective are adhered to KPMG Global IT Security policies and always obtain green rating in Global compliance reviews. Maintain ISMS to comply with ISO 27001and ISO 22301 security standard requirements and pass the certification audit and surveillance audit.
