Logistics Analyst: Responsible for the day-to-day execution of Logistic functions which include carrier selection, routing changes, tracking/tracing, and daily communications to various internal and external customers. Most actions are taken in our Transportation Management System (OTM). Various cross dock responsibilities such as audits, storage requests, and expediting requests are also required.
Schedule inbound/outbound orders to ship and deliver on-time at the lowest possible cost
Proactively identify shipping concerns and communicate to various internal/external customers
Maintain master data files within OTM and Insight Communicate with cross docks daily on storage and expedite requests
Identify and execute costs reduction opportunities while increasing the Customer Experience
Create, maintain, and share a number of various Logistics metrics
Travel to perform cross dock audits as required (5-10 annual)
Qualifications - Bacheloregree in Business or Logistics required
- 3+ years of Supply Chain experience required
- Traffic and Shipping experience a plus
- High level of computer & typing skills
- Strategic vision and ability to properly evaluate tradeoffs in managing logistic decisions and cost
- Ability to learn and become self-sufficient quickly
- Attention to detail
- Excellent customer and client service skills
- Self-motivated
- Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
