Description: Senior Laundry Supervisor
Senior Laundry Supervisor will be assisting the Laundry Manager in the daily operation of the Laundry Department. It is also the responsibility of the Senior Supervisor to provide a high quality standard of laundry service to Hotel Guest and Colleagues on a daily basis, by using its expertise and professional standard of laundry cleaning process.
Hotel Overview: Fairmont The Palm is a luxury, world-class resort located on the iconic Palm Jumeirah Island in Dubai. The hotel features 381 guest rooms and suites with dedicated Fairmont Gold rooms and lounge. A total of six food and beverage outlets on property plus 24-hour in-room dining-offer a mix of culinary and entertainment options that mirror Dubai's cosmopolitan air including a Mediterranean and a Brazilian churrasco experience. Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Laundry manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following;
Assist the the Laundry Manager in overall daily operations of the Linen and Uniform Room.
Ensure quality controls are in place for all linen processes, rejecting any exceptions.
Ensure linen and laundry supplies are ordered and controlled in line with Business and Events.
Report to Laundry Manager in case any uniforms need to be discarded or replenished.
Ensure that linen and uniforms are properly stored and recorded.
Ensure that the proper procedure is followed when linen or uniform needs to be discarded.
Ensure that all uniforms are ready for special events as well as for any seasonal events.
Ensure team members adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations.
Keep and update the Laundry / linen productivity report on a daily basis.
Oversee the issuing of linen via hotels requisition system.
Makes recommendations to the Laundry Manager / Executive Housekeeper.
Manage customer service issues quickly and effectively.
Train, develop, and appraise the laundry team and Carry out stock takes as per management policy.
Assists in the recruitment and selection of laundry personnel.
Assigns schedules and duties to laundry staff as per business needs.
Assists in determining staffing requirements necessary to meet the Laundry Department's needs.
Performs other duties as assigned and able to carry out any other reasonable task set by the hotels management.
Assist the Laundry Manager in doing the monthly and quarterly inventory, reports and monthly overtime and payroll process.
Qualifications : Qualifications: Previous experience is an asset
