JOB SUMMARY: This position is in the General Tax Administration, Tallahassee Central Campaigns, Field Operations - Audit. This position oversees limited scope audits regarding Florida taxes from a desk on one or more of the following tax types: Sales & Use Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Motor Fuel Tax, Communication Services Tax, or Insurance Premium Tax. This position will also act as an on-the-job trainer and subject matter expert on certain technical and legal projects.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue;
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university;
- Successful completion of three college level Accounting courses;
- Four years of professional accounting or auditing experience;
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel or equivalent programs/applications, WinFMT (Windows Florida Multi-tax), Feras(Florida Electronic Records Audit System) - (if applicable) and SAP/CRM (Systems Application Products/Customer Relationship Management).
SUBSTITUTIONS:
- General Tax Administration desk or field audit experience can substitute on a year for year basis for the required degree;
- A Masteregree in accounting or area of business or possession of a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) certificate can substitute for one year of the required experience;
- Applicants who will obtain the college requirements described above within 60 s from the date of application will also be considered.
PREFERENCES: - Preference will be given to applicants who have General Tax Administration experience working with Convenience Store and Used Car Dealer sales tax audits.
