Our client a specialist critical infrastructure consultancy focusing on MEP & IT Design & Consultancy require a Mechanical Engineer for their expanding Dubai office.
Key responsibilities shall include;
Produce designs for Data Center Mechanical Systems
Mechancal design calculations, sizing, discrimination studies and analysis
To produce specifications for critical part of mechanical installations
Carry out site surveys
To develop the mechanical systems including developing all necessary drawings, technical submissions, calculations and descriptions of operation to construction standard.
To liaise with all sub-contractors and ensure that all drawings are issued with all required information.
To check and approve material submittals with respect to Technical Design
Providing technical support for incoming inquiries and queries
Keeping in regular contact with existing customers
Study tender documents and understand client requirements to be able to put together the technical response to tender bids, proposal and quotations
Evaluate client inquiries, specification and drawings
Contribute to bid/no bid decision
Attend client, supplier and third party meeting on and offsite as necessary
Work closely with Design Department (UK) to hand over contracts won by the company
and coordination with clients
Work both within office environment and onsite
REQUIREMENTS To apply for this role you should meet most of the following criteria,
Be educated to Degree Level in Mechanical Engineering or similar
BE fully IT Literate with proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Be able to use engineering software such as AutoCad, Revit, HAP & IES
Have between 7 and 10 years Mechanical Design Experience
Have at least 2 to 3 years experience working on data center projects
Have a mixture of both site and office experience
Have a good knowledge of relevant aspects of Electrical Engineering
Be client facing with excellent communication skills
Be able to manage projects and more junior staff members
Must have at least 1-2 years experience the GCC
