Procurement & Planning Executive

Job Summary Raw Materials & Packaging – Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and based in Dubai (UAE).
The successful candidate is the co-owner of all activities related to the planning, procurement and monitoring of raw materials and packaging consumed by the three manufacturing operations in the plant: 2 Can Lines, 1 End Line and 1 Food Line.
Responsibilities The successful candidate would ensure a cost based approach to procurement of all raw materials, and assist the Supply Chain Manager to constantly look out for cheaper alternatives to all materials that are not centrally procured by Europe, to facilitate the move from tactical to strategic procurement, to negotiate with existing suppliers for better payment terms, faster lead times, with a focused approach to minimize working capital at all times.
You work out the monthly Production Operating Plan in conjunction with the Commercial & Operation department, on receiving sales forecast & inventory sheets for all three departments and prepare monthly raw material requirement for the up-coming period and would be the Plant’s point of contact and interaction for all Interco purchases (raw materials and finished products).
You ensure purchase orders are released on time and accurately for all raw materials and packaging needs and monitor outgoing payments to all suppliers in liaison with the Finance department.
You liaise with the commercial department for new customer requirements/orders, liaise proactively with production departments for any upcoming requirements, and with the QA department for conducting qualification trials of mew materials.
Also to interact with the European sourcing team based in Europe on all supply issues related to centrally procured raw materials.
As a key member of Safety Circle within the plant, you participate and conduct Quality Internal Audit as per audit schedules. You therefore have a full understanding and a proven implementation of CEC & BRC Systems
Required Skills The successful candidate should be a graduate in supply chain, commercial, or planning with 3-5 years ‘experience as supply chain executive in a multinational manufacturing environment.
You are knowledgeable in supply chain and global business processes. You have the ability to handle multiple projects and to communicate at all levels of the organization. With strong negotiation and organizational skills, you are detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills. You have a good working knowledge of finance processes, shipping documents and business logistics. You have very good analytical skills, and a strong command of IT skills (Advanced Excel and exposure to an ERP (i.e. JDE)
