The Company A global leader in security technology have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join their Dubai based team.
The Role As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the administration of the accounting function and have accountability of the company's accounting data and records. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining books of accounts and ensuring that accounting transactions are recorded in line with International Accounting Standards (IAS)
- Preparation of month end journals, accruals and cash flow reports
- Working closely with the Finance Manager in providing monthly reports to support variance analysis
- Preparation of payment to suppliers, ensuring accuracy and obtaining appropriate approvals.
- Preparing the AR monthly ageing reports and monthly provision reports and record the required entries. You will follow up with customers for payments and meeting them to resolve outstanding AR balances issues
- Driving improvement of the operational systems, processes and policies in support of better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organisational planning.
The Person This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to join an industry leading multinational who are growing significantly in the Middle East region. As the ideal candidate, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CPA)
- Have at least 4 years' related accounting experience, ideally from a multinational organization where you will have dealt with high volumes
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and SAP is essential
- You must be a confident, strong communicator who takes pride in being customer focused, but can also be assertive when required
- Arabic speaking would be advantageous
