We are currently looking for arabic speaking Management Accountant to join Marks & Spencer Finance team to manage and handle M&S KSA operation.
In this role, you will be responsible providing financial, analytical and operational support to the brand and the MENA Regional Office so that senior management can take key business decisions. You will ensure that the Books of Accounts of the brand are maintained to reflect the true & fair view of the business and all periodical reports & adhoc analysis or information is submitted as required.
Key Responsibilities: Books of Accounts and Preparation of Reports
- Close monthly books of accounts thru passing necessary entries and assist to deliver the key MIS reports- P&L, Balance sheet, Cash Flow statements and other key MIS reports
- Prepare Monthly Management Pack
- Complete SAP/BPC upload.
- Working with compliance team to ensure implementation of finance related SOPs
Strategic plan , Budgets and Quarterly Review Budget Preparation
- Initiate, prepare and consolidate the Strategic plan & budgeting documents which include Budgeted P&L, Balance sheet and budgeted cash flow
- Coordinate and prepare to deliver budgeting reports and presentation slides on time for the management to review and present.
- Responsible for finalising the budgeted numbers and ensure that is uploaded in the SAP/BPC system on time for the review by Retail and Group finance office
GL Scrutiny and Schedules:
- Constantly monitor and maintain books of accounts ( GL, AP, AR and other sub ledgers like FA register) accurately so as to reflect true and fair view of the brand performance reports
- Preparation of monthly and other periodic schedules
Product Costing and Margin
- Prepare and analyze the margin of the business and highlight the variances if any
- Manage to audit and check Warehousing costs and drive for cost reduction on product costs viz.; freight, insurance, customs duty, clearing and transportation.
- Review the load accruals and finalise the products costs on seasonal basis with the latest costs.
Insurance
- Finalise the detailed Insurance coverage of the business on a yearly basis and monitor regularly to identify possible business risks.
- Keep complete track of Insurance Expenses with proper schedules
Audit Completion
- Co-ordination in completion of internal and external audits and respond to their queries.
- Ensure that audit schedules are prepared and submitted on time for both Internal & External auditors
- Co-ordinate with KSA SSF in this regard.
Regional Taxation
- Ensure proper Tax provisions are made in line with Regional Tax Regulation
- Reconcile and submit on time the monthly Tax declaration to Tax Department.
- Ensure Tax dues are paid in time.
- Co-ordinate with KSA SSF in this regard
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have a Graduate Degree (CA/CA Finalist/ICWA equivalent) with 7-8 years of experience with leading retail groups in similar or related role. You must have thorough knowledge of Accounting - Accounts Finalisation/Balance Sheet/Cash Flow/Budgeting/MIS Reporting, sound knowledge of regions tax regulations, advanced/expert skills in MS Excel, and good working knowledge in SAP. Arabic speaking candidates would be highly preferred.
This role is based in Dubai will require frequent visits to Saudi Arabia.
