SUMMARY: Manages advanced life support ambulance field operation. Includes personnel management, cost containment, System Status Plan coordination and operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Communicates corporate mission, vision, strategies and goals.
- Provides performance feedback to subordinates through positive reinforcement and disciplinary process.
- Interfaces with allied health agencies and public service providers within region.
- Attends emergency medical service meeting and functions.
- Conducts annual written performance review of assigned personnel.
- Issues clarification memoranda to communicate corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
- Inspects ambulances and stations and ensure compliance with appearance and inventory standards.
- Measures compliance with patient care and system status standards.
- Designs methods to ensure timely completion and submission of patient care forms and operational reports.
- Assists Communication center with geographical orientation to county.
- Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, ordinances and administrative rules enacted by all regulatory authorities.
- Recommends shift and/or at station assignment of personnel.
- Investigates complaints regarding clinical care and customer service, including interviewing personnel, contacting complainant, recommending resolution and ensuring all reports are filed.
- Perform ambulance duties assignments as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications: Current Washington State Paramedic certification. Valid Washington State drivericense. Acceptable driving record. EMS field experience required. 2 yrs supervisor experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required. Experience using computers, including word processing and spreadsheet software applications preferred.
