Description The Company Be part of a Leading Ship-owner with a long tradition of providing outstanding service to customers in multiple industries across the world. Due to business expansion, we are currently recruiting for an Accounting Manager to be based in the Singapore office.
The Role Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be managing the full set of office accounts and to review the work performed by vessel accountants. You will ensure accurate and timely closing of accounts and submission of monthly financial reports and schedules. Oversee vessel accounting function, payment processing and reviewing of monthly AP aging report. Handle banks reconciliation, monitor cash flow and preparation of cash flow forecasts. Other key areas include quarterly and annual office budgets, preparing GST returns, ensuring timely filing of returns, performing year end consolidation of group accounts and preparing annual statutory group financial statements in accordance with FRS and Companies Act. Last but not least, you will also be liaising with banks, auditors and tax agents as well as preparing audit schedules.
Your Profile To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy with minimum 7 years of relevant work experience within the shipping industry. It is advantageous to have prior vessel accounting experience, strong analytical skills, financial statement interpretation/analysis as well as good report writing skills. We are looking for an independent, responsible finance professional who is detailed and hands on. Proficiency in MS Excel is compulsory.
