Role Summary/Purpose
The Lead Operational Controller is pivotal in creating a robust controllership environment within the business, and is responsible to establish strong controls and processes within and outside the Business ERP system in ensuring a high level of financial integrity. This role will report to the Senior Operational Controller and drives for accounting compliance, process simplification and alignment across the Singapore Aviation Supply Chain shops controllership function to bring value.
Essential Responsibilities - Responsible for working directly with remote Finance teams (CR, Cash, Treasury, Payroll, Stat, Taxes, FA, I2C, B2P and Supply Chain etc.) to ensure strong support for the business operations and deliver controllership metrics targets (e.g., pay on time, customer past due, etc.)
- Assist to plan, facilitate and execute supply chain operation and business controllership activities (Annual Physical Inventory Count, Fixed Assets count, Quarterly Fixed Assets Review, etc.) to meet the desired outcome
- Assist in general accounting and policy application for topics covering inventory, revenue recognition, leases, receivables/payables, fixed assets, intercompany, etc., and ensuring that they comply with GE GAP, Aviation Operating Policies & Procedures, ES, US GAAP and FRS
- Support in annual expense recognition, balance sheet re-measurement forecast exercise and monthly/quarterly cash forecasts versus actual activities
- Follow up on past due review points & highlight high risk, slow/non-recoverable past due for escalation
- Support closing activities and escalate/resolve disconnections to relevant support teams on timely manner
- Assist and bridge expectation/support on interim/final statutory audit, tax, GST filing & other statutory reporting efforts with Centre team to ensure statutory timelines are met on time and compliantly
- Support to drive controllership synergy and lead process simplification and alignment initiatives across the supply chain shops
- Experienced finance professional with strong business partnering and controllership/supply chain background in a manufacturing setting, comfortable working in a complex matrix environment are key criteria for this role
Qualifications/Requirements - Bachelor's Degree
- 5 to 8 years of working experience gained from Big4 accounting firm and exposure in controllership function within supply chain background in a manufacturing setting

- Hands-on knowledge on business operation controls and processes
- Ability to perform critical assessment, interpretation and application of policies/FRS and US GAAP standards on business activities
- A fast learner with strong analytical skill to identify issue root cause, formulate business solutions and drive results
- Savvy in Microsoft Office & comfortable in handling large volume of data
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience managing relationships within a complex matrix environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (English main language)
- Experience in the use of SAP, Hyperion, Oracle, QAD & Spotfire etc
