About the role Are you ready for a new challenge?
Property & Casualty (P&C) Business Management is an integral part of Swiss Re's business, responsible for managing all post-placement Client servicing and operations, including Claims, Reserving, Technical Accounting and Portfolio Management.
The team is embarking on an ambitious strategy to develop greater client-centricity and continuously increase the level of value we add to our clients. Enabling this will require significant change management, strong leadership, strategic rigor and execution focus.
You will support the delivery of key initiatives and be involved in a wide range of high-visibility activities including thought leadership, competitor research, client management, business case creation, and strategic development. You will gain significant, practical exposure to business challenges and guiding a team through cultural and operational change, learning both technical and soft skills along the way.
Your main responsibilities - Support the development of thought leadership content production, including research and analysis, engaging with marketing and communications, and delivering material to plan
- Undertake competitor research to analyze and define competitor strategies, complete gap analysis, and identify opportunities and threats for Swiss Re
- Plan and coordinate important client and internal conferences and events, ensuring alignment to the overall client strategy and delivery of event objectives
- Assist in enhancing management reporting and planning, including governance frameworks, planning cycles, and data analysis
- Participate in the planning, development and implementation of strategic initiatives to support the execution of P&C Business Management's client strategy
- Undertake a range of analytical work, including client benchmarking, performance analysis, and financial / commercial modeling to support the development of feasibility assessments

Whilst this is an internship position, you will work closely with management and the P&C Business Management leadership team, and be involved in the delivery of our strategic aspirations.
We are a team of highly experienced (re-)insurance professionals, spread across seven countries in Asia Pacific, and part of the Global P&C Business Management family. With an average tenure with Swiss Re of over 10 years, we are passionate about our business and the clients we serve.
Our colleagues are experts in various fields, from liability, to property and engineering, agriculture and technical portfolio management.
Given the increasing number of natural and man-made catastrophes globally each year, P&C Business Management are critical to supporting our clients and communities in their greatest times of need and uncertainty.

Education and experience requirements - We are happy to consider students from a range of courses, with a preference to undergraduates from Business, Finance & Economics or Engineering
- Prior internship / projects in insurance, finance industry or consulting is an asset

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication
- High-level proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
