About the job As a Senior Revenue Analyst, you will be reporting directly to the Revenue Analyst Manager and supporting the sales and implementation team in the American Region. You are expected to review sales contracts and record related revenue and expenses and ensure that the contracts adhere to compliance in accordance with US GAAP (ASC606).
Other responsibilities will include:
- Maintain books for relevant Business Units
- To record monthly journal entries for revenue accruals or other adjustments in RevPro (revenue subledger) and PeopleSoft (general ledger)
- Design and review accounting reports to effectively detech booking errors
- Conduct follow up to ensure clean Customer Acceptance documentation
- Compile accounting reports and account reconciliation files in a timely manner, based on general and sub ledger queries or Hyperion reports
Skills and experience required - At least 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Prior experience in hands-on month end closing
- Knowledge of US GAAP in the area of revenue recognition will be highly advantageous
- Prior experience with financial systems such as PeopleSoft will an added advantage
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
