The position We are seeking a Bioinformatics Consultant who will be responsible for providing technical support, training and technical sales presentations in the field of bioinformatics to internal stakeholders and customers throughout the APAC region. You will also provide consultancy in the field of experimental design, both pre and post-sales.
You will support in increasing sales revenue by understanding customer needs and develop solutions using Roche, third party and open source tools. You will also provide technical customer support for the Roche Sequencing Solutions portfolio. You will take ownership and drive process improvements in the areas of technical support and training.
Around 30% travel within and outside the region will be required for this role.

You possess a bachelor's degree in Physics, Applied Mathematics or Statistics with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Bioinformatics applied in Genomics, at least 1 year of experience in performing Bioinformatics in a Genome Centre and at least 6 months of Molecular Biology bench work.
Project management experience, including leading cross-functional teams through complex projects or initiatives. You have worked in a highly matrix multi-national organization, have exposure to and appreciation of different cultures in social or business context. Through your excellent communication and presentation skills, you have a proven track record in influencing and negotiating with different stakeholders. You are passionate about your work, resilient, able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
High proficiency in spoken and written English is a must. Proficiency in Mandarin will be an advantage.
