Medical Office Assistants perform delegated clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training and experience. Works in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice providing clerical and assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities. The Medical Office Assistant performs the duties described below in accordance with the specific needs of the practice.
Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school or GED equivalent
Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.
Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office and email,
Minimum of 6 months health care facility clinical experience or clinical education
Will be required to take a base line medical terminology course within 180 days beginning employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a medical assistant program
Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent, previous experience with an electronic health record, phlebotomy
