In business development, we are growing our team rapidly in each market as well as geographically. We now have teams in 16 countries, working tirelessly in building our supplier network.
This position is responsible for the management of suppliers in a wide variety of verticals, including attractions, tours, activities, transportations and travel essentials. There is a strong focus on big name attractions and theme parks, keeping an industry best level of experience, content, availability and price point. To maintain our leadership position in Asia and to expand our global reach, this role will be responsible for innovations in how we manage our local supply team around the world to deliver the best possible range of products, with instant availability and in the most competitive prices.
Successful candidate requires superior leadership skill in a multicultural environment, understanding of the market landscape, closely involved in supply side technology development that cultivates long term competitive advantage in the travel experience business.
What you'll do - Develop and maintain the most competitive portfolio of attractions, tours, transportation services and activities (Things To Do) products in Japan, Korea, United States and Australia, for Klook's rapidly growing global customer base.
- Acquisition: Identify the best products based on current demand and sales potential and bring them onboard the Klook platform. Supervise onboarding of products, with support of local team members, editorial and quality control teams.
- Account management: Cultivate relationships with partners to help maximize their sales potential on Klook's various distribution platforms. Communicate Klook's business strengths and brand value to suppliers. Develop process and tools to ensure frequent and seamless communication between suppliers and the team in the region, that the team is empowering suppliers to grow their business with Klook through data and global exposures.
- Optimization: Continuously ensure the quality of products, in terms of pricing, inventory, and content, maintain at a market leading position at all times.
- Coordination: Work closely with various functions in the company - marketing to maximize sales, operations to improve efficiency, revenue to optimize pricing, customer services to drive satisfaction and repeats, finance to ensure accurate payment and minimise risk, and media team to secure marketing funds from suppliers.
- Market updates: Identify market trends and provide market & competitor updates through on-going research and analyses.
- Influence: Represent Klook to build our profile with key destination influencers in the region (e.g. DMOs, tourism bureaus, trade organizations, etc.)
- Leadership: Build and lead a strong business development team to deliver tangible results in each of the above areas. Works closely with each country leaders and empowers them with skills, data, and tools to deliver results. Actively engaged in planning development and resources available throughout the company to provide operational/tactical support and training that allows the team to operate efficiently at all times. As an agile and fast growing company, this person should prepare for expansion, redundancy, coaching, evaluation, striving for upward mobility of entire team.
