The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Talent Acquisition team is seeking a talented, customer focused Senior Leader to lead Amazon's AWS Professional Services recruiting organization across APAC. In this role, you will:
- Own the APAC talent acquisition strategy for the AWS Professional Services organization to execute our hiring goals
- Additionally partner with the Japan and Greater China teams to align on best practices and increased efficiencies
- Partner with senior business leaders in APAC and North America, HR Business Partners, and finance partners to set and drive strategy, goals, process, and metrics to meet growth goals and foster innovation
- Lead and develop a world class recruiting team across multiple countries who source, assess, and close bar raising candidates
- Develop innovative ways to meet AWS's constantly expanding and evolving recruiting needs
- Consistently champion and maintain the highest bar in hiring
- Develop and implement a strategic recruiting model to deliver a positive business and candidate experience, in addition to efficiency and effectiveness goals
- Build and maintain operational and process excellence mechanisms
- Partner with the campus recruiting team to ensure alignment with the AWS Professional Services early career hiring plans
- Evaluate the effectiveness of both new hires and the hiring process to drive improvements into the hiring decisions across APAC
Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have built and led a high performing recruiting organization in a high growth, technical, professional services environment. This individual will be part strategist, developing creative approaches to talent acquisition that produce strong results, and part operator, demonstrating strong, analytical skills and honing the sourcing mix to find new sources or paths to great talent. This leader will be an inspiring manager and will always be innovating and testing new approaches to talent acquisition. Candidates should have the following education and experience:
- 15+ years of Recruiting experience
- 7+ years directly leading team, including managers
- Proven track record in managing a team across Asia Pacific, Japan and China
- Experience building, coaching and managing a recruiting team
- Experience working with recruiting tools and systems, including resume databases, internet sourcing tools, and spreadsheets
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS referred Experience
- Experience leading a recruiting function at scale in Professional Services or IT Consulting
- Organized and pragmatic with the proven ability to thrive in an ambiguous and changing environment
- Strong analytical thinker, creative in approach to talent acquisition and highly inquisitive
- Skilled at partnering with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of ROI
- Workforce planning experience
- Experience scaling a team through tremendous growth periods
- Experience partnering with global clients and peers
- Has a data driven approach with strong analytics and the ability to create, measure and scale the right work workflow between candidates, hiring managers, and the recruiting team
- Strong process and auditing skills
- Reputation for obsession with candidate experience and client satisfaction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
