AVS Data Management Supervisor
Summary: Owns data management and reporting functions for all AVS contracts and products
Responsibilities: - Act as the single-point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding all data related projects and concerns.
- Lead the Data Management team and coordinate/monitor its activities, delegating tasks as necessary to ensure optimal efficiency and quality.
- Manage all and user files for field offices, financial institutions for SSA and Medicaid contracts.
- Produce and manage the fulfillment of data files and extracts as outlined in the SOW of contracts for SSA and Medicaid.
- Maintain data integrity between AVS systems and customer-facing data, especially regarding the financial institution information and all request/response information.
- Monitor and mitigate system data issues, reporting them and elevating concerns to Product Management, Operations and Development.
- Support automation testing with individual financial institutions, consortiums and contracted government agencies to ensure data quality.
- Oversee the creation and production of management information reporting or specialized statistical analyses compliant with contracts, SOWs, or as requested by the contracted agency, contributing to their development as needed.
- Assure the quality, consistency and accuracy of the data provided in data extracts and management reports submitted to contracted governmental agencies.
- Produce specialized statistical analyses as required by contract or requested by the contracted governmental agency.
- Seek out and strive to deeply understand the pain-points of the business and proactively work with internal stakeholders to establish projects that align with business priorities and budgets.
- Evaluate and build upon existing data management processes, making increased automation and accessibility through our web applications a top priority.
- Utilize and manage the existing SQL Server reporting databases, including the SSIS packages, stored procedures, functions, and queries as well as creating or modifying SSRS reports as needed.
- Produce internal statistical and analytical reports using available tools, exploring and implementing new tools as needed to effectively communicate findings and analytical solutions to upper management.
- Collaborate with AVS Development team to maintain data integrity and application functioning.
- Respond to all ad-hoc reporting requests. Identify costs and review scope of work with management before generating requested reports.
- Contribute to development of design and specification documents.
- Mentor the other data analysts, helping to expand the technical capabilities of the team.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field
- Relevant data management experience, having the analytical and technical ability necessary to understand complex data relationships and assure data integrity
- Familiar with data management methodologies and concerns, especially data warehousing
- Working knowledge of relational database concepts with experience writing SQL, especially for Microsoft Access, SQL Server and/or Oracle Databases required; experience with OLAP cube solutions a plus
- Experience performing data analysis and developing reports in tools like Microsoft Excel required; other reporting tool experience is preferred, especially SQL Server Reporting Services or Tableau
- Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful and critical thinker with respect to task completion, research, analysis, and problem solving
- Experience working effectively within a cross-functional team structure while managing competing priorities
- Organized and detail-minded but able to see the big picture, with excellent oral and written communication skills that allow complex information to be conveyed in comprehensible ways
- Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality
- Strong leadership qualities; team lead experience a plus
- Ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines with the ability to work overtime as needed
