Role Summary/Purpose
The Global Services Parts Organization (GSPO) is responsible for securing service part inventory, distributing around the global and shipping the parts to our customers. As part of GSPO Materials Planning CoE/PMO, Global Materials Functional Project Manager will manage projects/initiatives and co-ordinate with team members in same location, to improve fulfillment, reduce inventory and not hurt fulfillment or improve system performance.
Essential Responsibilities In this role you will: 1. Be the offshore SME (Subject Matter Expert) for PTC Service Parts Management (SPM) application, used for GSPO Inventory planning. Validate the design and solutions with leadership. Work and co-ordinate with team members in other time zones for E2E initiatives life cycle and ensure the realization for benefits identified.
2. Act as Functional Project Manager and prepare and drive a consolidated project plan to close given projects/requests/initiatives/problems, realize the business benefits within given milestones established, while following the PM methodologies. Prepare and present weekly leadership updates.
3. Own and ensure that there are no unresolved issues post go-live. Also work with Digital or vendor organizations on the technical issues.
4. Being Integral part of COE/SPM PMO, help establish & drive the PM processes among the team. Lean/Optimize the overall processes in and around Planning. Manage COE/SPM PMO Project funnel. Influence the team to drive the ideation, identify improvement opportunities.
5. Drive the ideation, identify improvement opportunities and consolidate the requests made to CoE in terms of Global Planning projects thru COE/SPM PMO Project funnel.
6. Manage the SPM PMO Project funnel, determine the impact and feasibility, develop business cases to support changes, estimate timelines, drive project approvals, prepare project/execution plan, engage cross functional teams, devise Proof-of-concepts, verify Functional feasibility, drive testing/validation, establish training plan, deployment and measure the outcomes. Iterate this process through to form the cycle of continuous improvements to lean and optimize the systemic/functional/user input processes. Execute to the Plan.
7. Partner with Digital organization and other GSPO organizations to lead/participate projects/initiatives requiring Planning validation and initiated thru changes in Planning connected systems.
8. Study the data, prepare the business impact analysis, process gaps or changes to ensure we go thru required Business approvals.
9. Own and manage overall functional testing. Work with team and prepare testing scenarios, drive or perform testing thru multiple testing cycles - as needed. Ensure that key planning aspects like Demand/Forecast management, Inventory Optimization, Order Plan or Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) for Service Parts, have been validated.
10. Engage with Stakeholders, prepare stakeholder communication plans and manage cross-functional engagement on Initiatives driven by or given to SPM PMO. Communicate regularly with stakeholders and leadership on the status/impact of the projects. Ensure changes will be accepted and adopted.
11. Perform and prepare required functional/data analysis and validate changes drive the anticipated outcomes. Challenge outcomes to ensure impact of changes before implementation
12. Ensure all required processes are followed on project execution to prevent Fulfillment, Inventory & VCP issues after implementation.
Qualifications/Requirements 1. Must have at least 2 years of development, implementation or support experience of Service/ Logistics/PTC Service Parts Management (SPM).
2. Must have proven experience in managing/leading E2E project life cycle.
3. Having working experience in integrating the ERP data with SPM is preferred.
4. Must have a proven experience to perform consolidate and perform drill up and drill down comparisons and data analytics on large data sets.
5. Bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years of Parts Planning domain experience
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface and influence at all levels of the organization
7. Proven ability to work in a cross-functional matrix environment and meet deadlines.
