Your Responsibilities: This will be a permanent role based in our API plant in Jurong (Pioneer), reporting directly to the Lab Operations Manager.
The role has specific responsibility to lead the Analytical Development team in provision of method development, method validation, equivalence and transfer.
The purpose of the role is to support all analytical method activities required for the resolution of method problems / issues, method improvement, method validation, and the introduction of new analytical technologies.
Other key responsibilities would be:
1. Ensure that all data supporting the resolution of process and method issues are accurate to allow for the correct actions to be taken to address the issue.
2. Provide analytical support for plant investigations, so as to permit the accurate assessment of impact of the investigations to arrive at appropriate recommendations on remedial action for follow up.
3. Ensures all the regulatory queries and support for pharmacopoeia compliance and CAP compliance are handled in appropriate manner and to provide coverage to Analyst where appropriate.
4. Ensures the Analytical Project Teams have consistent approach for the introduction of NCES to the site, outsourcing of established products to 3rd party and the standard of analytical method validation.
5. Work closely with Analytical Leadership team and R&D partners to influence corporate analytical strategy and approaches such that GMS voice will be taken into consideration.
6. Keep abreast of new testing technologies and methodologies to ensure that data, which support the decisions pertaining to the implementation of new testing technologies, are accurate and comprehensive for management decision-making.
7. Make recommendations for the implementation of new technologies via an appropriate business case.
8. Lead the formulation and development of the plans for the implementation of new testing technologies and methods and implement the approved plan.
9. Ensure a safe working environment for the laboratory.
10. Supervise, develop, and motivate team members to help realize their maximum potential.
Why You?Basic qualifications:
Ideally, we are looking for candidates with these criteria's:
- At least a degree in chemistry or related science discipline
- At least 10 years of working experiences in an analytical laboratory environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
- Very good knowledge of GMP and GLP
- Sound knowledge and on-going awareness of regulatory requirements (includes safety)
- Good knowledge of analytical techniques
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes on site
- Good communication skills
- Basic financial management skills
- Knowledge of business process within GSK
- People management skills
- Risk management skills
