Eatonehicle Division Headquarters is seeking a Test Cell Supervisor. The Test Cell Supervisor will be based in Galesburg, MI.
Positon Overview:
The Test Cell Supervisor will be responsible for driving common processes, tools and technical expertise across the organization, assist in defining laboratory strategy, and leveraging technical resources and assets within the Test COE lab.
Essential Responsibilities: Provide leadership for technician team though staffing, test scheduling, defining expectations, providing appropriate training and development opportunities, coaching, and performance management.
Leverage state of the art tools, methods and processes to improve and create common test systems, methodology, and core technical competencies across Test COE operations.
Design, document, configure, and implement complex test procedures as required on component level test stands and large dynamometers for commercial vehicle transmission testing.
Program and maintain various test stand software and programs.
Analyze data, provide insight, and report out on performance of tests and specimens.
Contribute to capital and resource demands for VG CoE testing operations.
Interact with product teams and outside suppliers on testing needs and implementationclass="new_p"> Perform failure analysis, investigates and troubleshoots issues, coordinates with cross functional team to ensure project objectives are met.
Prepare/review documents including cost estimates, appropriation requests, project schedules, design and instruction specifications, operating manuals, and technical reports.
Develop and improve lab procedures and advise product engineering as to test and design product improvements.
Work with product and test engineering team to design, assemble, and conduct tests to evaluate current and future products.
Support and implement Eatonnvironmental, health, and safety policies and initiatives.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications: - Bachelors of Science Degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or test environments.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications: Bacheloregree in Engineering, Physics or Computer Science from an accredited institution
Masteregree in Engineering or Business.
1 year of experience managing people.
Experience in testing powertrain components and/or systems in a lab environment.
Experience in collecting and analyzing test data.
Experience in software development (C, VB, LabVIEW, etc.).
Experience with Controller Area Networks (e.g. SAE-J1939).
Experience with test stands and large dynamometers.
Position Criteria:
Willing to travel up to 10% of the time. * Demonstrate use of unique skills and technical knowledge to lead multiple projects while working with regional and global lab teams.
