Electrical Supervisor
BASIC FUNCTION SUMMARY
- Responsible for all supervisory duties of all assigned personnel.
- Schedules work and ensures recurring maintenance is performed on critical systems and aircraft arresting barriers.
- Ensures safe and compliant operation of electrical distribution systems.
- Ensures employee training, certifications and licenses are current.
- Must have knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Supervises the installation, maintenance, repair and operation of electrical distribution systems.
- Oversees all base electrical work to include high voltage distribution, street lighting systems, airfield lighting systems, emergency power systems and facility interior electrical systems.
- Ensures all work complies with the National Electric Code, and applicable UFC/li>
- Works with Engineers, engineering technicians, or industrial machinery installation, repair, and maintenance workers.
- Follows Confined Space Entry procedures when entering manholes, waste pits, etc.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
- Five (5) years electrical experience. Master Electrician licensing required.
- Office-based working environment with significant field work.
- Must possess excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
- Have the ability to address a wide variety of audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to execute on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have the ability to deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
- Must have the ability to work extended periods of times on a computer. Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: This classificationctivities range from, an office environment with extensive sitting demands to a field environment with extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. May occasionally be required to lift objects whose weight exceeds 30 pounds. Special vision abilities to perform this job are close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Work Environment: The diversity of work conditions may range from an office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort to a field environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards. May be required to work a flexible work schedule and alternating work days to meet mission and customer requirements.
LICENSING, CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS - State Master Electrician License
- Valid state drivericense
