Business Unit: Medical Film & Printing Solutions
Position Description and Required Skills:
Maintain a safe / clean work environment. Maintain all systems and processes consistent with applicable environmental and regulatory requirements.
Participate in Morning Market, Flow and XLT meetings and complete assigned tasks.
Execute operational strategy. Ensure the effective operational goals, plans, and procedures are in place to monitor and drive performance (Quality, Safety, Productivity, Delivery, Inventory).
Assist in preparation of AOP and manage costs monthly to meet AOP.
Ensure there is a sense of urgency in addressing issues and that necessary resources are available. Escalate issues to appropriate leadership and request additional resources to address as necessary.
Monitor Operations by conducting routine verification that procedures, special instructions, checklists are followed by personnel.
Maintain and improve quality management system requirements. When applicable develop plans to correct any deficiencies to product or system
Collaboratively work with R&D and Product Engineering group to enable successful trials and scale up of new products.
Develop people and teams through succession planning, conducting routine team meetings, shop floor interactions and one-on-one meetings. Effectively communicate information, process changes, business performance and expectations. Role model company values and desired behaviors and lead by setting a positive example.
Maintain a well trained workforce - ensure resources support the needs of the business, all employees have adequate training for their jobs and cross training opportunities are pursued.
Ensure corporate and site policies are followed regarding work time, break / lunch times, overtime reporting, etc.; address any gaps through performance management.
Ensure effective and positive employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution. Work with HR to establish standards, guidelines, and processes to be applied for employee performance reviews. Assess contributions and performance of the team. Provide honest, constructive feedback, coaching and recognition to individuals and teams.
Complete goal setting, mid and year end performance assessments, and merit pay reviews within the expected timelines.

Minimum Education Level Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in related field
Desired Skills Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education, certification, and related work experience will also be considered.
- 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment working with complex technical processes is desired.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment where duties included planning and assigning work, managing department performance measures, and ensuring safe operating procedures
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- Business acumen - understanding the big picture of the organization, the key drivers of the business (cost, time, labor, quality) work together to produce profitable growth and customer focus.
- Understanding of and experience implementing Lean Manufacturing processes
- Experience with SAP and Enterprise reporting
- Optimistic - understands operational challenges, but is confident that there is a solution. Exhibits this optimism and confidence in communications and instills confidence in members of the organization
- Self aware - understands how his / her behavior and style can affect and influence others

Required Skills/Experience: - At least 2+ years of leadership work experience
- Experience coordinating groups of production workers

- Experience working with leadership team to implement and achieve department goals, policies and procedures.
- Strong computer skills - Excel, Word, Power Point and Process Control
- Understands the processes they are responsible to manage
