Tableau Administrator with proven experience in supporting and managing enterprise scale Tableau environments. Maintaining and monitoring highly available PROD/Non-Prod environments with industry standard security frameworks. Site administrator: As Site administrators has to manage groups, projects, workbooks, and data connections. As site administrators responsible for adding users and assign site roles and site membership. Responsible for publishing and migrating the Tableau workbooks. Manage authentication process (Active directory/Third party Identity providers) Patch and SLA Management Server administrator: Istallation and configuration (SSL/SAML/Active Directory) of Tableau server in cluster environment. Upgrading (major and minor) versions of Tableau tool across all the environments. Migration and scheduling the extracts. Ensure to manage the application's users, groups, and integration with Active Directory/ IDP. Tableau Server Management (like Clustering, Load Balancing, and User Management etc.) Planning for taking backups and restoration of Tableau repository. Tableau server licensing mechanism and using command line utility tools (tabadmin and tabcmd) to automate tasks. Monitoring of Tableau server and troubleshooting of server issues using server logs. Handling outages and SLA Management. Contacting vendor for technical support (in case if issue cannot be fixed by admin) Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required. Setup and maintain documentation and standards. If necessary, need to provide consultation to development teams. Education level and Type: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Work experience: Should have 6+ years of overall experience with 3+ years as Tableau Administrator Good understanding of Tableau product architecture. Three years or more experience in Tableau administration with strong skills in installation, configuration & upgrade of software. Excellent analytical & troubleshooting skills Should have strong Knowledge of Financial Services domain Knowledge on Tableau development and SQL is advisable to understand the user requirements/issues. Technical skills: Strong knowledge of Tableau Server components such as TabAdmin, Tableau Services Manager (TSM), LogShark, TabJolt, TLV, and the Tableau REST API. Experience deploying and sustaining Tableau Server on Linux using cloud providers like AWS. Strong scripting skills and experience automating server sustainment tasks. Experience with Tableau Server scheduling and tuning for many simultaneous data sources. In depth knowledge of Tableau Desktop and client tools. Operational expertise in troubleshooting , understanding of system's capacity, bottlenecks, basics of memory, CPU, OS, storage, and networks Soft skills: Should have very strong communication skills to manage different stakeholders along with experience in building client relationship.
