Job Description : The Quality Supervisor is directly responsible for the supervision and direction of the PAX River VH-92 Quality Management System (launch and recovery, aircraft maintenance, logistics support, & spare parts)
The QS will direct, supervise, plan, and develop details of inspection standards, methods and procedures utilized by the site in complying with all applicable contracts, manufacturers' specifications and instructions.
Ensures that all required inspections & tests are properly completed for the maintenance performed prior to its return to service, and that all proper inspection records, reports and forms are properly executed. Conduct periodic checks for all inspection tools and calibration of precision test equipment is accomplished and the established calibration periods are not exceeded. Ensure that no defective or un-airworthy parts are installed. The QS ensures that all rejected and unserviceable products are properly tagged and returned to the owner or, with his permission, are mutilated and disposed of.
Ensures that internal audits and monitors are conducted as scheduled/required and that findings are published, root cause analysis is conducted, findings are expeditiously corrected and follow-ups are conducted.
Act as the Quality System Management Representative and oversee, maintain and improve the site's Quality System Programs.
Ensure effective operation of the Central Technical Publication Library, ensuring current publications, drawings, procedures, etc. are available in quantities necessary to perform maintenance actions.
Ensure site training is conducted as required and is comprehensive and meets regulatory, contract and corporate requirements. Maintain complete and accurate files of all completed training.
Prepare customer focused quality plans; reviewing and responding to customer requirement flow-down. Oversee the initiation, requests for and the follow-up of corrective/preventive actions internal/external audits findings. Coordinating with the FSR/Site Lead, establish and co-lead a Site Corrective Action Board. Establish and maintain standard Quality metrics.
Manage the site EH&S program
Basic Qualifications - 10 years documented United States Navy/Marine aerospace experience, of which 5 must be in Quality Management/Supervision.
- Hands-on ACE, Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing experience
- Requires a self-starting, enthusiastic individual who can function effectively in a team environment.
- Requires communication and organizational skills, as well as excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
- Current active transferable Secret Clearance is required prior to start.
Desired skills B.S. degree in an Aerospace discipline, or a Quality/Manufacturing discipline, or closely related field
