Providence is calling a Registered Nurse Supervisor - Acute Care Services to Providence Seward Medical Center in Seward, Alaska. This is a full time position.
In this position you will:
- Be responsible for assisting the Patient Care Services Director with the planning, coordination, and supervision of the ED, Medical, Swing Beds, and other departments.
- Function as a clinical and operating resource to deliver patient care in a compassionate and ethical manner according to recognized standards and care model.
- Foster change and teamwork to ensure constructive relationships and growth, while maintaining a positive and professional image when interacting with patients, their families, physicians, employees, and general public.
- Be responsible for managing personnel issues and needs of assigned areas and employees to include, assisting with recruitment, hiring selection, evaluating, coaching, and terminations.
Qualifications Required qualifications for this position include:
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing
- Bachelor degree in Nursing (BSN) or must hold an associate degree in nursing and obtain a BSN within 3 years of hire
- Must complete required in-services annually, as determined by institution/department
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at time of hire
- Required within 6 months of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Trauma Nurse Core (TNCC) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- 5 years Registered Nurse experience in an Acute Care and/or ED setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Masteregree in Healthcare field
- 1 year of supervisory experience
