The Company Our client is a leading travel group that focuses on providing solutions on the future of Aviation and Travel Services companies. Due to their continuing growth, they are now looking for a Senior Solutions Designer to join their team.
Key Responsibilities - Interacting with senior management levels at a client and/or within the travel industry, which involves negotiating or influencing on significant matters
- Has latitude in decision-making and determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments
- Solving key travel business problems and challenges by enabling an architecture transformation, painting a picture of, and charting a journey from the current state to a “to-be” enterprise environment
- Assisting travel organizations pivot to the “New IT”, enabling flexibility and adaptability within our client organizations through Agile and Multi-Speed IT
- Supporting the sales effort on new travel business development pursuits, assisting with RFP responses, architecture assessments and technical qualifications
- Designing, developing and communicating the detailed technology architecture and implementation strategy
- Overseeing the design, production and implementation of technology solutions aligned to travel business needs, covering multiple cloud technologies, associated Infrastructure/application architecture, development and operating models
The Candidate Candidate needs to come from a travel background. Can previously be working with an end-user travel industry company. Needs to be wearing the hat of an advisor when speaking to clients about their digital transformation.

- Ability to facilitate product ideation/discovery in extremely ambiguous situations, with participants who have no idea why they are doing it until they are half way through it.

- Other ideation techniques
- Ability to facilitate small teams of software engineers to rapidly develop software prototypes, potentially launching them into minimally viable products.
- Ability to facilitate other matrixed teams in the organization on general agile disciplines and/or product design.

Skills & Qualifications - At least 10 years of application and technical architecture experience
- At least 5 years of Architecture advisory services
- Experience in enterprise architecture, liquid applications, new and emerging IT, analytics and big data are an advantage
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Strong project, program and team management skills
