The Sr. Communications Strategist’s lines of effort include brand messaging development and management, employee communications, media strategy, executive thought leadership programs, vendor/ agency management.
Primary Responsibilities - Develops and executes Asia Pacific regional internal communications plans including strategy, goals and tactics.
- Develops and executes media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media.
- Plans and prepares written and visual communications and diffusion of information using print media, speeches, scripts, intranet and external website content.
- Works well under pressure, establishes schedules and meets deadlines while managing competing priorities.
- Implements social media strategies to engage audiences across traditional and new media.
- Plans, coordinates and supports internal communications actions to promote key events and successes.
- Serves as the liaison between communications and the Asia Pacific region.
- Maintains close relationships with assigned functional business teams, regions, or product teams to determine appropriate planning and tactical decision making.
- Leverages existing media relationships and cultivates new contacts with business and industry media.
- Manages media requests.
- Creates content for press releases, keynote presentations and advertising.
- Monitors, analyzes and communicates PR results.
- Maintains a strong understanding of industry trends, monitors industry issues and competitive landscape.
- Adjusts company positioning and messaging and makes appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy as required.
- Leads communications requirements for regional executives, including presentation development, coaching, interview talking points and speech writing.
- Establishes and maintains procedures and processes to ensure that communications activities are carried out in a consistent and efficient manner, in accordance with company commitments and corporate standards.
Qualifications Education Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field
Experience 5-10 years of directly related work experience is required.
Strong English and fluent Chinese language skills
