Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Lead and drive sustainable and profitable own retail and franchise share growth in the respective Cluster by:
- Meeting and exceeding agreed KPI targets for net sales and profitability - support Future Market place and drive marketplace transformation.
- Leading and inspiring the Cluster field, retail back office (RBO) teams and working with franchisees to meet or exceed commercial goals and KPI's, build Brand equity and achieve set annual sales targets
- Focusing on the development of a trading and service culture across all our own retail and franchise stores.
- Defining and continuously developing the hard franchise business models, taking into account industry benchmarks and Global guidelines
- Implementing and driving agreed Global own retail and franchise processes and guidelines for field and RBO operations; feeding back Cluster needs to the APAC DTC for the ongoing development of global processes
- Developing and executing local retail and franchise relevant and specific processes in close cooperation with the APAC DTC
- Ensuring best in class brand experience for our consumers at our own retail pinnacle stores
- Act as a role model in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations as well as the adidas Fair Play Code of Conduct and other internal policies.
Key Responsibilities: - Drive and implement the Cluster Retail and Franchise Strategy, to continuously maximise profitability and growth from the store portfolio, whilst ensuring this covers the requirements for each country and in conjunction with key stakeholders, including the Cluster SVP GM , APAC Direct-To-Cosumer (DTC) and Country/General Managers
- Marketplace management
- Brand Lead Retail (BLR) rollout across SEA
- Manage and control operational expenses in line with the Cluster retail and franchise budgets, and in conjunction with the Country GM/CMs
- Make commercial recommendations and decisions in conjunction with the Cluster SVP GM and Country GM/CMs by analysing the franchise and retail KPI's and local retail trends and needs
- Create and drive a high performance culture across the Cluster by setting clear expectations and targets, analysing own retail and franchise stores' performance, holding the Management accountable and giving appropriate and prompt feedback
- Ensure elaboration of a rolling 'own retail and franchise deployment schedule' by store, covering all retail Clustering, visual merchandising and other activities and ensure implementation by operational coordination and close tracking
- Manage preorder and stock replenishment; support development of merchandising, stores plans and sales & Clustering programs to ensure that respective stores meet: all set merchandising and display standards, service and product knowledge standards, sales (sales per outlet, average transaction value, conversion rate), profits, stocks turn targets
- Analyse and assess business gaps and opportunities based on sell-through numbers, VM scores and general Cluster feedback from store visits
- Work closely with franchisees to ensure action are taken to improve on all the gaps so as to optimise business potential
- Ensure identification and improvement of best practices by own store format and compliance within the Cluster retail store portfolio
- Develop and implement advanced components for enhancing the adidas Group retail & Franchise business model (logistics, IT, reporting, staff deployment planning, training) with the respective functions
- Ensure proper representation and in-store execution of adidas licensed products by franchisees
- Support the creation of operational guidelines in close cooperation with the APAC AND GLOBAL DTC TEAM and ensure local implementation
- Critically look at current processes and relevance for the specific Cluster. Actively communicate necessary adaptation to global guidelines into the APAC AND GLOBAL DTC TEAM
- Define organizational structure, set objectives, and manage workloads and results to achieve goals while adopting best practices and achieving continuous process improvement
- Ensure high employee engagement at every level through effective motivation, coaching, training, and development of personnel in the team

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Minimum of 15 years' experience in the retail and trade Clustering Industry, ideally in apparel/fashion/shoes or FMCG, with an operational background and working across different countries
- Strong leadership skills, with a minimum of 4 years' experience of leading multi store retail teams.
- Strong commercial acumen
- Excellent communication skills including impactful presentation skills, influencing and negotiating and change management
- Advanced numeracy and literacy, with good IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Geographical mobility and willingness to travel extensively.
- Fluency in English
