The Cybersecurity Engineering team at Visa is responsible for designing and implementing defense and detection solutions to address cyber threats and meet business objectives.
The Technical Solutions Managers is a new team which will act as subject matter experts for Cybersecurity Engineering’s technologies, tool stacks, and the Cybersecurity Engineering organization itself. The Technical Solutions Managers will act as the ‘face’ of Cybersecurity Engineering, and be the primary point of contact for other technology teams to engage with Cybersecurity Engineering. They will triage and prioritize incoming requests such as business needs, threats, and vulnerabilities, and manage the request through its lifecycle. Technical Solutions Manager will help design solutions to those requests that best leverage Cybersecurity Engineering’s tools and technologies, and work closely with engineers and the requestor to ensure quality solutions.
The Technical Solutions Manager is a new role. They will also be responsible evaluate and optimize existing Cybersecurity Engineering processes and policies, and well as to create new ones to ensure the success of this role.
Responsibilities - Maintain deep subject matter expertise for all of Cybersecurity Engineering’s technologies and services
- Devise solutions to most effectively address the wide variety of technical challenges and advanced threats Visa faces utilizing the technologies and resources available to Cybersecurity Engineering
- Represent Cybersecurity Engineering and act as its primary point of contact and ambassador to other Cybersecurity, technology, and business units in Visa
- Help shape and drive Cybersecurity Engineering’s roadmaps and direction based on the evolving needs of different business units and teams, and the threat landscape Visa faces
- Lead and coordinate efforts between different Cybersecurity verticals and other business units to quickly and effectively respond to threats and stand up solutions
- Continually learn and stay abreast of technology trends, industry direction, and the cyber threat landscape; effectively prioritize these to focus on what is important and separate out fads
· Effectively manage cross-functional internal and external team collaboration, and communications
· Prioritization, planning of projects and features, stakeholder management and tracking of external commitments
· Respond to and assist with due diligence and internal / external security audit requests
· Identify and drive opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to security standards, processes and/or automation Qualifications
Qualifications - Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering
- At least 12+ years of total experience in Information technology and/or security infrastructure
- At least 8+ years of hands-on technical expertise in one or more information security verticals such as penetration testing or application security, security infrastructure tuning and/or deployment, security architecture or design, or general security consulting
- Detail understanding of DDoS Attacks and its mitigation strategies.
- Detail understanding of OWASP controls, ATT&CK frameworks
- Knowledge of PCI/DSS and its technical controls
- Experience with security of distributed database, distributed computing and high frequency transactions is a big plus
- Experience delivering large scale, highly available security solutions
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience demonstrating strong leadership, self-motivation and accountability
- Experience on leading complex projects cross-functionally and globally
- Financial services and card payments experience is a plus
- Relevant security certifications such as OSCP, ISC2 CISSP, SANS, CEH, etc. are a major plus
