This individual will be part of the Global Network Team that manages Lam's network infrastructure with 60+ locations worldwide.
He/she will be responsible for the design, implementation and management of the networks in the Asia Pacific region including campus and office networks and regional data center networks.
Other responsibilities include: 1. participate in the strategic planning and operational management of the global network infrastructure
2. work with Lam network teams and Lam's vendor to support the global network in a mission-critical manufacturing environment.
3. oversee the performance of the outsourcing vendor to ensure SLA commitments
4. work in a team environment to analyze and solve complex production network problems.
5. participate in a cross-functional team to evaluate, design, build and deliver complex solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years of hands-on experience in network design, implementation and support
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
SKILLS: In-depth understanding of TCP/IP protocols and performance troubleshooting
Routing and switching protocols
Campus and data center network architecture
High-available network design
Network management tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco Prime and PRTG
Network security protocols - 802.1x, EAP-TLS, RADIUS
Voice and video network management, QoS, SIP, H.323
Network and application performance analysis and optimization
Cisco hardware - routers, switches, ACS/ISE, UCS
Knowledge or understanding of SDN, SD-WAN, SDWAN, or related software-defined networking & security platforms
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency
Ability to self-motivate and manage/prioritize competing tasks
Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
Ability to work after hours to support projects and maintenance activities
