The Role Responsibilities
- This role is responsible for the strategic development of CIB, CB & PvB client facing marketing campaigns, ensuring delivery across multiple platforms and formats to drive sales, engagement, retention, leads and positive client experience.
- We are looking for an individual who is a proven expert in all areas of campaign, content and messaging development, with the ability to tailor campaigns and assets created according to client segment & industry sector (relevance), whilst ensuring channel optimisation through demonstrable analytics and meaningful measurement.
- The role will lead and mentor an engaged and motivated team of marketing managers, and will continually seek innovative ways to write, package and distribute thought leadership, with a strong focus on engaging clients, differentiating Standard Chartered in a highly competitive market.
- With solid examples of leading teams in developing and driving client insights, messaging, content/thought leadership, social and digital content marketing campaigns, and events - you will always look for new and creative ways of client outreach to achieve maximum impact that is tracked, measured and analysed.
- Liaising with internal and external subject matter experts and business executives, as well as external specialist agencies, you will ensure that the global CIB, CB & PvB campaign and distribution strategies provide clear direction in the development of central programs as well as programs developed at a regional/country level that address local needs and differences.
- You will be responsible for reporting against marketing budget/spend for marketing services related activities, establishing metrics to evaluate ROI against Brand & Marketing (B&M) scorecards.
- To succeed in this role, you will have a breadth and depth of experience in developing and driving marketing communications, marketing campaigns, thought leadership initiatives, and will be a proactive collaborator who is familiar and comfortable with engagement across all levels of an organisation. As an excellent communicator (written and verbal) you will provide direction to the team, ensuring a laser focus on addressing client needs with relevant and impactful content, and a metrics driven output.
- Develop and drive the strategy, planning, asset creation and distribution of marketing programs, understanding and leveraging synergies that exist across CIB, CB & PvB, enabling the team to deliver against our marketing plan.
Lead the team to deliver marketing programs in support of:
a. thematic development & thought leadership initiatives/campaigns
b. business sponsorships & client events
c. marketing collateral & tools addressing segment and product needs across print and digital
d. ATL campaigns
e. Industry awards
Drive the development and implementation of measurement tracking of marketing campaigns to evaluate effectiveness.
Develop standards, systems and best practices (both human and technological) for asset creation, distribution, maintenance, retrieval and repurposing

Experience - Degree educated or equivalent preferably in Marketing, Communications or a related field
- >15 years senior level experience in B2B marketing and communications, financial services B2B preferred
- Exposure to Corporate & Institutional Banking & products a plus
