RESPONSIBILITIES Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a Nursing Services Supervisor to join the Medical Services Team. This position is responsible for supervising a diverse professional staff of 11 nurses located at 2 clinics and 3 dispensaries. Duties of this position include: Hiring, technical skills evaluation, mandatory training for occupational health certifications and updates. Training and coordination of activities with the two additional site dispensaries as needed and agreed upon per the statement of work. This includes but is not limited to consultation, training for certifications and updates as required including the tracking and replacement of ACLS medications and testing equipment/supplies. Responsible for the development and maintenance of Medical Policies and procedures related to Nursing and X-ray staff, including the Nursing Standing orders in coordination with the Occupational Physicians. This role includes knowledge and guidance of applicable rules and regulations such as OSHA regulations and requirements for each Medical Certification and Surveillance, including type of tests, interpretation and limitations for each Certification and Surveillance. Tracking of licenses/certifications for professional staff. Mentor to professional staff and goal setting for career development. Coordinates and mentors ISU (University) nursing students for Occupational Health orientation. Accountability for Medical Audits/reviews as well as follow-up corrective actions. Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education and/or Experience): Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Idaho with at least 5 years of experience in occupational/emergency medicine. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L security clearance. Special Requirements and/or Training: Preferred candidates may possess any of the following Certifications/Trainings: Certified Occupational Health Nurse Drug Screen Collection and BAT Calibration Technician Medical Review Officer Assistant Breath Alcohol Technician Spirometry testing Audiometric testing Basic Life Support Advanced Cardiac Life Support Advanced Trauma Life Support License(s) or Certification(s) Required: State of Idaho Registered Nurse License EMPLOYEE JOB FUNCTIONS Employee Job Functions are physical actions and/or working conditions associated with the position.
